Meet your AME

Thank you for considering AdventureMed LLC for your aviation medical needs.

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Daniel Gott, often called Doc Gott, or simply "Doc". I am board certified in family medicine and practiced in the greater Bangor region for 21 years. In 2020, I decided to change directions and become a full time flight surgeon at the Maine Air National Guard where I've served as a traditional Guardsman for the past 10 years. I have been providing FAA medical exams for nearly 20 years to the pilots of central and northern Maine. No longer doing family medicine, I established AdventureMed LLC as a means to continue FAA medical exams to the civilian pilot population.

I am a private pilot and enjoy the Maine scenery from the windscreen of my C172K when time allows. As a Boy Scout Leader I am a Merit Badge Counselor for the Aviation Badge and enjoy bringing the experience of flying to scouts. Maine offers some of the best scenery

when it comes to flying, whether it is a quick lobster run to BHB or grabbing some brunch at SFM at the Pilot's Cove Cafe.

Aside from flying, I enjoy alpine skiiing, climbing, and watersports on the lakes.

My charitable contributions are directed at supporting a few great organizations such as the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center in Carrabassett Valley that provides many recreational opportunities for those with physical and intellectual disabilities.

My family and I reside in Hampden, Maine.
